I recently discovered that a co-worker has been doing his level best to try to make me look bad in the eyes of our mutual supervisor. I knew the guy was a “tool”; young, cocky, very arrogant and more knowledgeable than all those around him (in his own mind). However, I never thought he would sink so low. I’m guessing he believes if he can weed out everyone who is senior to him in experience and/or years with the company, then he will soon be in charge (as he fully believes he should be).
What he doesn’t realize though, is that in taking me on he picked the WRONG one! Not only am I a strong woman, but I am a child of the King.
1 Chronicles 16:21-22 (King James Version)
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Try as you might to destroy me
Or even to paint me in your unflattering light
Your subterfuge is less than subtle
Your way to deflect negative attention from yourself
But it rolls off my back
It will do you no good
For it is written that no weapon formed
Against me shall prosper
He has built a hedge all around me
Even when you seem victorious
It all works out for my good
I am a child of the King
Anointed by His Spirit to do His will
To be a light upon a hill
Even in this place
Your ill intentions will come
Back to you a hundred-fold
For He has said
Touch not my anointed
And do my prophet no harm
