Sonnet.

They lingered far too long amidst the fog
To maintain any sense of clarity
Two lovers touching dreams that cannot be
Amid a time which nothing can unclog

And as he holds her oh so caringly
Their kiss now forms an endless dialog
Uncertain freedom there amidst the bog
Where dreams like theirs now touch eternity

It’s funny how it all should end this way
When there was so much promise up ahead
Their dreams were filled with all that was in store

Not even the thick fog could cause dismay
And as they drove unsure of what sign said
Their somewhere in the bog was evermore

Beautiful poem. Things fall apart because of hidden issues sometimes. Hopefully these dreams live on.
