What are we doing to ourselves and others. Time to think about things and reorganize. Don’t you think so too.

She catches the bus every morning bags in hand
Gets off in the city, hits the trash for recycles and fills the bags
Down to the other trash cans and picks up more recycles
Does this all day long, that’s the living she makes
People do make a living by doing this
Then I thought of the possibilities, time, effort
Calculated the profits, 10 maybe 20 dollars per day
Times 7 days a week, 70 to 140 a week
Then times 4 weeks to a month, 210 to 560 a month.
Not bad for a daily routine if you have nothing better to do.
I been seeing this happen more often
It’s sad to see that people have to survive like this
Really is this what it’s coming to with jobs shrinking
Promises of a future, dreams broken, education worth less
Cost of food rising, everything around us is rising.
Homes being taken away, because of job losses
Wars being fought because of no compromise
Wake up America, can we stop this before it’s too late!
