Lighthouses as I see and imagine them.

Tower Of Lights

Elizabeth Grant Price

Tower of lights is graced with an artistic design,
A first order, lights the way for ships in deep harbors,
Keeping many a ships from cruising hazardous points

A focal plane of light stands over a hundred feet above sea level,
One might just capture the very essence of  its lovely lights,
Helping ships avoid reefs, and shallow waters,

The gleaming white tower, is visible for many a mile,
Overlooking, comings and goings of vessels,

Beacons baring its soul to the vast ocean,
A shimmering reflection, its lantern aglow,
Is mirrored on glossy waters,

Surviving raging hurricanes, earthquakes,
The mighty beacons still stand,
Glad towers of light
