and the culprits still roaming free,

killed a thousand and crippled a thousand

by the hands that the created the tragedy.

In the heart of India,

A state by name Madhya Pradesh,

In the year nineteen eighty four,

the world heard the scream and the roar.

The disaster that one cannot forget,

it still left its mark behind,

still babies born without hand and legs,

and many of them born blind.
