Why is a wolf an honorable creature and the werewolf a terror?

Wolves are loyal and work together
Their one mate is for the rest of life
They attack only for food or when threatened
So why is the werewolf so full of strife
A wizard chose the wolf for its honor
Thinking this would greatly enhance man
But inside all men is the touch of the devil
Even good people have something evil in their hand
The wizard brought wolf into man
The wolf’s natural freedom opened that clenched hand
All control is lost as the wolf becomes free
An unnatural beast is born from wolf and man
The wolf wizard is now long gone
But his tragedy is passed on and on
Any good man can lose control to this beast
This is an evil that seeks till ones soul is gone
