A short thought on how we forget close death is in our modern society.
I stood within an inch of death
As it rocketed past me
In a flash of deadly steel
Crushing all in its path.
An unstoppable force.
And though I stood so close without dear
Still I knew the danger
And I know that one day
That inch between us
Would be gone
