Describes taking responsibility for our failed relationships.

Tranquil breezes blow through my hair
And tears fall from my eyes
Love has only dug a ditch
And buried me neck high
The consequences of my actions
Are finally sinking in
Now I realize that with this battle
I may never win
I can’t live in a war that alone
I’m fighting for
I can’t climb in my bed
Without your face in my head
I can’t move, I can’t sleep
I can’t breathe, Can’t eat.
I can’t walk, I can’t talk
I can’t see, I’m not free
I’m so bound by your love
So bound by your smile
Pop the lock on my heart
Let me breathe for a while.
The one I love would spit on my grave
The one I love doesn’t love me
If love is a chain I guess I’m enslaved
And if love is a gift, of it, I gave
Tranquil breezes can not save me now
Or this loathing hollowness in my heart

    Oh, how can it be,
    the one I love
    doesn’t love me?

    Beautiful poem about love unrequited.
