The mutant children have come
With so strong a difference we’ll wonder where from
Is that the psyche of a girl, but in the body of a man?
What’s thwarted natures usual plan?
Is it a psychosomatic intervention?
Coupled with a pre-natal internal condition?
When science grows all the way up
To fill more than half its cup
Then we’ll reach out to know
Those inner dimensions and the ways they go
In the meanwhile we have at hand a difference in life
Which without our own self control, induces within us the fullest strife
But we all know it is true
No one needed permission to be themselves, not from me, nor from you
And we know beyond a doubt
We may rightfully expect every one to be polite and know what he or she’s about
To let others pass with peace and not act out the beast
To let our patience take hold and sublimated hatreds to cease
And if the comfort in our breast nevertheless depart
To remain at a distance and polite is best the fairness at heart
Feminine in a masculine body is what we’re seeing
Feeling like a lady, should be treated like a human being
Because you exist, they exist, I exist, we exist
Down in every valley, in every city still
High upon every hill
The differences in life are more extensive
Then what we thought or what we willed
