          Traveling On The Stars

         Twinkle twinkle little star,

          How I wonder how you are?

          Up above the skies so bright,

          like a diamond in the sky.

        *****

          Can I catch a ride on your stars?

          See what you see on your journey?

          Hitch a ride on a Hailey’s comet?

          Can I be carefree for a few hours?

           ****

          Can I catch a ride on your star?

           Be one on one with the regal eagle.

           We give them light as they hunt,

            their sharp talons catching prey.

      ****

            Can I see what you see as you fly?

            Imagine looking at the mountains.

            The Grand Canyon is very beautiful,

             the stars provide just enough light.

             ****

             I catch a ride on Hailey’s comet now,

             I can hang on tight as it passes by.

             Let go before it leaves my galaxy,

             telling it thank you before it leaves.

        ****

              Can I be carefree for just a few hours?

              If I hang on tight would you let me go?

               We can wave to the moon as we pass,

               stop and listen to the fiddler’s music.

         ****

               This is nothing but a very simple rhyme,

               somewhat created by a children’s stories.

               But I want to do what was wrote about,

               I would do it all in a New York minute.
