Poem about the tribulations of triond membership.
I wanted to wax lyrical, about the trials of triond life
The fans, the friends, the lack of views, the never-ending strife
You post like mad and write like fury, yet you barely move
Posts and views so slow you feel you can’t get in the groove
Why you ask, in sheer frustration, can I not break the curse
Of viewers snubbing what I post, or something even worse.
The comment saying load of crap, at least my words got read
So I feel perverse encouragement, my talent isn’t dead
We struggle every single day to find the magic words
That send posts viral, views a climbing up among the birds
But truth be told it never does quite reach such dizzy height
A hundred views sending us quite giddy with delight
If we want more money, if we want to be noticed more
Then simply posting on triond will never push up your score
You have to let the web world know that you have things to say
Social networks, post those damn links every single day.
There is no magic message about the ways in which you might succeed
Submitting content to the site, hoping to fulfill the viewers need
But be aware that they are fickle, and too much time can be spent
Bemoaning the failings of the site, in that old triond lament.
