A trip to Mt. Banahaw.
Seeing green fields fills me with freedom
As we walked down the bus to ease our boredom
I wondered what this trip would have to teach
as we began to smell fresh air within our reach
The warm wind tenderly embraced my spirit
I felt excited on this first visit
on an mountain where refugees can find paradise
and a sacred place where spending time is wise
The dulcet breeze gently kisses lush green trees
and the mirthful sun smiles over the flying bees
On this place called the Mt. Banahaw
Where many people take time to pray and bow
We journeyed with respect to the sacred church
Holding our hands even in this personal search
I prayed to the God to send His guiding light
To see no vile thoughts in my sight
I first realized how entering Husgado could direct my fate
And how it fortified my existing faith
It was a fear that I need conquer
A challenge that made my being even stronger
Traversing a high point in Kalbaryo is very tiring
But reaching the end point is worth all hearts pounding
God was great in creating splendid wonders
that were appreciated by all especially the nature lovers
We culminated the whole trip to the cleansing of soul
To a cold river where we again become whole
As we promise to each other to remember this day
That we will be one in heart even if we part our way
The brother sun was slowly hiding
because the sister moon was coming
I guess it was our time to pack
but there will come a time for us to go back
Go back to a place of holiness and freedom
where you’ll not taste the flavor of boredom
It would be hard for us to say goodbye
because truly we will come back and say Hi!
