A poem.

I wish the world were freer, more natural, and more open than it is,

Yet I am comfortable and happy.

I wish I lived on a mountain; in the jungle, on a tropical Island,

Eating only fruit from the forest canopy.

I wish people talked more, went out more, and had more places to go

To be with one another.  I wish we were friendlier.

I want to live in Mexico, South America, the Carribean, Africa; I want to go tomorrow.

I can’t believe I live in a box, with people all around, some fifteen feet above me, and I am still alone.

It fills me with sorrow.

    Don’t worry friend,
    Ur not alone.
    In the wilderness,
    You will have vast lands,
Sun and moon a distant away,
    Vast and fast breezes,
    That holds your sway.

    You will be more alone,
    When in your hand,
There will not be another hand,
You live in deserts of stony sand.

    You are not that alone,
    Why do you moan?
    When I too am all-alone.

    The distant separates us,
    That I must remind,
But such a friendly song maker,
    In the vast loneliness,
    Of your minds’ creation,
    Where will you ever find.

    Come sing to poems,
    In your musical storm,
    All the ones around you,
    Will storm.

Both you and I will be one,
    In a simple song,
Its there we both individually belong.

    Seek not comfort,
    In the wilderness,
    There is more love,
    In nearness.
