The illusion of our country.
They say America is the land of the free,
Where everyone has a voice,
Where instead of being forced to do something,
We all have a choice.
This is a lie,
For people like me,
Just listen to my story,
And you will quickly see.
Born with depression and psychosis,
I’ve had to be watched,
For me life’s like a hallway,
With all the doors locked.
I can’t move forward,
I’m completely stuck,
America’s made me this way,
And it really sucks.
I don’t have a voice,
Because I’m different than most,
I’m definitely not an athlete,
And have no room to boast.
I don’t have a choice,
Because of the condition I’m in,
America’s what separates,
The boys from the men.
If you can handle it, great,
But if not you’ll hurt to,
Oh, and one last thing,
America, I hate you.
