I don’t want you to settle for less because then you wouldn’t look at me

I deserve the best too so I write poetry for you to notice me

For you give me life and make me feel light inside

Independent women with there own bread is fine

But I’d rather take you out on mine, just to be nice

Multiple partners is never right. That doesn’t make the man

For a man who needs many partners is one who can not stand

Clean women are more like angles instead women

When they give in they give out what half the world needs

But if I belong to you and you belong to me

We’ll have a special thing that makes people dream

We see eye to eye, plus we’re the same shade

If one of us is lighter we’ll mix when we lay

I won’t leave you for a white girl like Kanye

Commitment is a small price to pay

To a brotha unafraid of what love might bring
