Prompt was write an apology in the form of a poem.

To quote Sarah McLachlan,
“I tried so hard to love you
in my way.”

But I really didn’t.
I’m sorry for that.
I’m sorry I could never
be the person you expected.

Someone only you saw
and I have yet to meet.

If I had to have
loved and lost
I’m glad that
it was with you.

Whatever you might come
to doubt about me,
may that not cross synapses.

Lovely and heart felt. ..sorry I could never be the person you expected. Someone only you saw and I have yet to meet. –a common theme in life, and in poetry, but expressed here with a new degree of understanding. I’ll remember those lines.
