by the test of time
you were hers
and he was mine
we tested the waters
of sinful lust
we both burned
and broke trust
we tried to end it
but it failed
in each others arms
as our love sailed
then they heard
the horrific news
of our forbidden love
through careless clues
now we are through
with our searing love
by turning back
to God above
