When you pressed me to the threshing floor I
fell into that trance once more and
all I could see was the black within and
all I could feel was what you forced in

I’m back into that state again
when all is a dream and what’s real to me is
not what I see but what comes from within and
all at once I am all and nothing and
all at once I am all of something
akin to you how I knew it was you
I saw this once before, in a dream

You looked at me with a smirk and raised chin
you took from me what you thought you could win
you did not know what lied before you
the power in me would destroy all you knew

I look back and remember a dream
I look back on those dead memories
the power that shook all of eternity
is the power that still runs through and through me
