Two pieces in one post.

A rose unfurls her petals
Underneath the sun drenched sky
Waiting for the perfect man
To come along by

Her petals shimmer and undulate
Trying to entice
Shaking her petals exquisitely
As her leaves wink twice

A man soon takes note
And gently picks her up
Taking her to his home
Placing her in a glass cup

He nurtures and loves
Rescuing her off the street
Giving her a safe haven
A sanctuary to retreat

Lost in his own world
Embracing his dream
His unconsciousness unfurled

Holding onto a fantasy
Of a gift yet untold
A treasure yet to come
That would soon unfold
