Inspired by a missing persons report of someone who shares the same name as me.

My body missing, my mind apart, my family wondering if i’ll ever come home again. It’s too late for me now, it’s come and taken me far far away from you. I’ll sleep one more time in this cellar counting days by , by, bye. Until finally the sunlight slips one last crack and I am dirt again. Bury my shame into fragile thoughts, shards of glass poking a fresh wound. Please don’t forget where you’ve put me, please don’t forget that I need to breath, please don’t forget that I am human, Please let me leave. For what was once me has shed it’s tears and is stripped of his vulnerability and innocence.

Your wording is excellent. This one: “My body missing, my mind apart,” is one of the most striking lines I’ve seen on this site.
