Everyone seeks a refuge, a shelter for protection.

UMBRELLA

I wish that life is like a song

You still can play it no matter how long

But if you don’t want to hear it again

You have the choice for it to end

I wish that love is like the wind

You can feel its presence even it’s unseen

I wish that my tears are not just from sadness

But provokes by glee that lifts our spirits

I hope that an anguish is a bit just like rain

That when it subsides the sun will rise again

Then grief will be replaced with such a cheerful face

I wish that I could stay

From your umbrella I will sway

To cover me on a stormy day

And be my refuge in this suffering pace

A feign smile shall have no place

In my lips that’s full of weariness

This jaded heart shall soon discover

A pair that will be its shelter

But if that heart be delayed on its way

Your umbrella will be my safe haven

PAYONG
