The solution to my problem has always been you. The problem that I face is living without you.

ever said No

when it was meant to be

Screamed

In the end, all you could do

was cry it softly

cause in your heart

you felt the loss of life

Not from death per se,

but from dying to love

in a spectacular way

ruminating why

lovers cease to be friends

and the causes why

they don’t end as they began

What causes that in-love feeling

to fall out of place & why do we

elevate ourselves in such a way

that a smile from our lover

can’t bring us back to our sensibilities

has too much hurt been exchanged

that we can’t hold each other

during the rain?

Stay until the sunshine

christens us in violet

and we bask with the thought;

together hasn’t been all bad

There was a time when we

could count it all joy

and whenever you tried to leave

all it took was please stay

to bring you back my way

Can we go back and love that kind of way?

Cause I can’t keep living with these unanswered feelings

There are only so many times two people can break up and make up. We always wish for the times that were easier, but sometimes you just have to learn to move on.

It is so sad when love is lost and there is no way back. You have expressed your feelings beautifully.

Absolutely beautiful! I love this: “Stay until the sunshine christens us in violet and we bask with the thought….” I don’t think of the color, violet, often, but you can bet I will now :) Well done! :)

Soooo true.. Sometimes I want to “enjoy the luxury of not knowing each other..” and relive those moments when I felt like a teenager having a major crush. Funny how marriage and relationship evolve into so many forms over the years. Excellent writing! Love your metaphors.
