I’ve served 360 days in segregation at the Supermax Correctional Facility in Wisconsin which is reserved for the most violent and mentally disturbed prisoners. My crime was to ask a staff member if she wanted to know me better! The charge was, "soliciting staff." That made me a threat to the security of the prison.
Unbroken Chain
I’ve been sent to SMCI
For the charge of soliciting staff.
All I can do is sigh,
At my unfortunate gaffe.
There was a C.O. that smiled
And she was blonde too.
Boy was I a fool.
“Do you want to know me?”
Was my opening line.
“No,” said she.
What a great crime.
My first ticket in 5 years.
So, I pleaded guilty,
What had I to fear?
8-360, the maximum penalty!
So they sent me here,
To be reeducated.
Now I hear
There is no money for college education.
What are the politicians thinking?
Spending all this money on prisons.
They probably have been out drinking.
And taxpayers will pay the price!
Vote for a man
That looks like Dahmer
To see his budget plan
Is a downer.
Rent Supermax to the Feds.
Charge them rent
To house terrorists instead.
Wisconsin sure needs the bread.
Meanwhile, I’ve not seen the sun
In over 7 months.
A vampire would be having fun,
Except the lights are always on!
