An uncertain past and an uncertain future, and the fear that’s causing me to destroy everything around me. Not just in my dreams!! The title of this poem was suggested by Judy Sheldon, Please do check out her amazing work if you haven’t already.

Gazing through the darkness
The hunger strikes right through me
I just want everyone to open their eyes and see
All the thoughts and the feelings that are dripping of my mind
I prowl through the black streets in my dreams
Searching for a soul
I’ll rip their heart to pieces
And suck them into my deep dark hole
Just like everyone had done with me
I’ll inflict that pain on others
Never again will there be peace in the world
Everyone will to frightened
To scared to leave the door
To petrified to take a single step
As I strike them to the floor
I’ll plunge a dagger to their hearts
And watch them squirm in pain
As they stare me in the eyes
I’ll open a window to my fright
Let them share the memories
Of that fateful haunting sight
They’ll see the blood pour like water
And hear the screams turn to laughs
There are so many thoughts locked away
And many more uncertain paths.

Uncertainty leaves us vulnerable to stagnation.

How about “Uncertain Paths” and isn’t that what life is? It is not promised to anyone and only God knows the outcome. We can only live to the best of our ability and trust in Him.

Take care and God bless. The poem is beautiful and frightening.
