We are not even men and women of few continents
We are men and women of many states
Worshipping chance because it placed us here
Though we could’ve been born anywhere else
We are here in this state
So this state is what we become
And we bow to it
All under the umbrella of patriotism

The world’s problems multiply
As patriotism divides
And instills a false pride
Not in the human race
Or the planet as a whole place
Nay once again they say
It is divided, and divided it shall remain
Though we are all people, Human-beings the same
We live under the umbrella of patriotism
So we shall never feel freedom reign
