This poem describes a feeling of involuntary isolation whether that is found in nature or in relationships, the result is the same.

the day gets brighter the sky gets a little lighter
but still i feel the pressure of the weight bearing down
on my shoulders  sore from shoveling snow and ice.
clouds cover the horizon like snow banked against
a one-room cabin stacked all the way around.
