Death is NOT a great leveller at all. In Death we see the same prejudice and discrimination The Living face.

When a great Politician dies

The Nation mourns and cries,

But, when hundred soldiers perish

Only a grim salute without anguish?

Poor beggars when death embrace

Forever they remain Society’s disgrace,

When terrorists raze urban terrain

People swear and curse in pain,

Then, when a suicide bomber blows up?

Even vultures refuse the bloody ketchup!

I loved this one. We have to be non-judgemental and consider death as a feeling of loss to us regardless of the being.

We are all different, in life and in death. This poem points out…the stark reality. I mourn the soldiers, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. Thank You for writing this.
