An original poem dedicated to young girls who feel pressured to have sex.

Innocent and naive, unopened bud
with color so deep, as to stain.
Take time for granted as does the earth,
          for serenity be retained.
Think not of the world which surrounds your being,
          simply allow yourself to be.
Live inside yourself, dance beside yourself,
          embrace your one with harmony.
Innocence blossoms in solitude, wisdom grows
          like roots, with time.
Perennial knowledge of the self becomes worldly
          knowledge sublime.
The family vine from which you dream,
          carries others just like you.
Yet unfolded and exposed,
          they set rotting and skewed.
Innocent and niave, unopened bud
          with color so deep, refrain.
Take time for granted as does the earth,
          allow your purity remain.
