Listening to your inner self more than what others think you should be or do.
Advise is nice,
Yet one must not stray too far from the constitution of their identity,
Regaining compartments of dismissed personality elements are elusive to recoup
Best to accept others and their earnest intentions,
Ignoring those who choose to flog your sense of self with rapacity
Large ears for suggestion is a prelude to self-doubt,
Akin to staring into a bright light too long,
Then having the eventual darkness cast lines of shadows; what once was familiar becomes indistinguishable
To become oblivious to your fundamental nature is to misplace the sum of your experiences.
One without an authentic sense of self degenerates into an unfiltered faux pas
