Unrest

The afternoon’s stillness and calm

bring my heart some peace

A welcome break from its restlessness

and days of unease

From thoughts that should be tossed

as the wind passes by

or brought along with the rainwater

as it flows to the sea nearby

Such uncertainty in this day….

Sunny early on and a short downpour after one

Then again came the sun…

I can’t let such uncertainty

dwell from within

or falter if I can be strong

and have enough reason to hold on…..
