I long to touch the heavens and to break
barriers that have until now seemed unbreakable.
To tread across the deserts that have until
now been left deserted.
To feel the feelings that many have for so
long been afraid to feel.
To tell those secrets that haven’t been told
to those who rarely hear.
To be exposed to that, that I have been so
longed “protected” from.
I’m ready to become that woman that my
mother always wanted me to grow up and be.
I’m ready to find the perfect friend someone
who will always be there for me.
I’m ready to do all the things I first set
out to do.
Yet I’m still not sure if am ready to fall
