Floating in the beautiful blue sky

The richest of hues touch and kiss my skin

The sun incubates me and I flourish

The White pure White fluffy clouds

Clothe me in its decadence

Floating

Flying

Soaring

bliss

Falling

The wind stings my skin

Rips off the luxury and garments

Falling and falling

Uncontrollable, out of control

Batted and bounced by every pocket of icy air

Then…

The eternal slam of the ton of bricks

It hit me like a ton of bricks!

Slam…into the bedrock river bed

My stoic solidity transformed to smithereens

My comfort, my foundation now broken

Broken, smashed

Broken beyond repair

Broken, my new state of existence

The pieces floating away, seeping, drowning

Drowning in a river of unexpected tears

Powerless to nothing, yet

The flow of river tears

Never-ending river tears

Careening down my lovely face

And over the edge
