I’ve been thinking over a lot of things lately — who I am as a person, my beliefs, and what I especially value.
This specific poem focuses on self-respect. I hope that through this, you find your personal strength for self-empowerment.
You’re blinded girl, can’t you see?
You’re worth much more than his company
These pits of temptation run far too deep
Don’t let his words give way to deceit
His insistence is persistent
Yet your resistance stays consistent
His pools of revelations are mere illusions
Girl, you’ll find your strength in your conclusions
Elucidating his every fallacy
Disengage yourself from impulsivity
He coats his lips with manipulation
And speaks of his infinite contention
He’ll speak his mind, consequently
But his strife will cease, his strife will cease
His lips will run dry eventually
