A poem about abortion.

Innocence cries
for a voice of his own
Instead stifled
silenced
quited before he could speak
Poor Innocence
He never asked to be
just to have a chance
A chance to grow
strive
live
A chance to speak
But Innocence was silenced
It’s for Innocence
I speak

I’m guessing from your poem that you are anti-abortion.

I think there’s a real fine line to walk along when deciding on a stance about abortion. Personally, I think that if a woman were raped, not in the position to care for a child, took precautions, such as at least two methods of birth control, abortion should be legal. I believe that it’s more cruel to bring a child into the world when one cannot care for that child the way it deserves to be cared for.

On the other hand, I don’t think that abortions should just be given for any and all circumstances. Abstinence is the only 100% effective method of birth control, but as human beings, abstinence is not always feasible.

    Good poem.

Thanks Sheldon. I am anti-abortion as far as a mean of birth control, take responsiblity for what you do. As always there are extenuating circumstances that should be taken into consideration
