Watching a flock of birds from my window…I saw this scene and had to write about the beauty of all of God’s birds.

They’re in the trees chirping to each other
One flies down to pull up a worm
Robins, bluejays
Majestic and innocent
Look, there’s some on my roof
They see me, blink, then fly away
Saturday choir practice
Uplifting and wonderful
Birds!
From the trees in my yard
They’re united to bring peace
To a mixed up world
I sing, they stop to hear
Melody sweet from human lips
Busy little sparrows
Nesting in the attics of old houses
Where do they get their energy?
Flying, diving though the naked air like acrobats gone wild!
I like to hear the birds
Singing in my ears
And I like how they climb
Trunks of century old trees
And peck away
At aluminum cans
One falls over and slides down into a tree hole
One bird, a blackbird
Pecks at the moss beneath the bark
Why go to the mountains
When nature is at my doorstep?
Saturday choir practice
Uplifting and wonderful
Birds!
