The lament of a lover on the loss of his beloved.

It was a night,

Silent. Sober. Somber.

In my hearts some emotions,

Like amber.

Abandoned maybe… but burning still.

Borrowing fire from the moon.

Love!

You are as far as one can be,

But still the closest to me.

Memory stars fleeting by,

and it was raining,

Out of the starry sky.

The wind that blew past,

had the scent of gnawing pathos.

Our walks by the lake,

And in the meadows.

Those tender touches,

And the blending of our souls and shadows.

Your smile. Divine.

Honey lips. Hairs silk.

And eyes……seasoned wine.

Upon you grave i sit,

And the melancholy of sleep befalls,

To take me to your heavenly aboard.

With eyes closed i see you,

Lost in the joys of the paradise,

That you made of heaven.

The world which with your charisma,

You have woven.

The rainbow clouds,

And the scented breeze,

With you in the landscape,

I finally felt at ease.

You are gone for all but for me,

I shed not a single tear for thee.

For our love is eternal,

Above the grasp of this melee.

But Alas!

The human frailties of mine!

Burns! Burns! this heart of mine,

And into that light searches for my life……

Very well done. The words are visually engaging and create a clear picture. A bit sad, but heartfelt. Great first post!
