Uterus Bleeding Disorders Due to Physical accounting for as much as 25% of all abnormal bleeding in women.

CAUSE
Bleeding can be caused by:

  • Injury to the vulva or vagina
  • sexual abuse
  • inflammation of the vagina
  • infection of the uterus
  • A blood disorder that causes abnormal clotting (such as leukemia or thrombocytopenia)
  • Benign tumors and malignant tumors (such as fibroids, cysts, adenomyosis).

Age is an important factor in determining the possible causes of uterine bleeding:

1. Bleeding spots on a newborn baby girl could occur because estrogen is absorbed from her mother

2. Bleeding in childhood may be caused by:

  • Puberty is too early (precocious puberty). Precocious puberty may occur as a result of drugs, brain abnormalities, low thyroid hormone levels or tumors in the adrenal gland and ovarian tumors.
  • Adenosis vaginalis (vaginal glandular tissue growth in excess), which often occurs due to the use of diethylstilbestrol by his mother before the child was born. Girls who are at risk menderit adenosis vaginalis vaginal cancer and cervical cancer (cervical).

3. Abnormal bleeding in the reproductive period may be caused by:

  • contraceptives (eg birth control pills, progesterone IUD)
  • Complications of pregnancy (eg placenta previa, ectopic pregnancy)
  • Hydatidiform mole
  • Endometriosis.

4. Causes of abnormal bleeding after menopause is the most serious is the cancer (eg cancer of the uterus lining, cervix and vagina). While other cause is thinning of the vaginal wall (vaginitis atrofika), thinning or thickening of the lining of the uterus and uterine polyps.

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms include abnormal bleeding (eg more, more watery, more frequent or irregular), which occurs outside of or during the menstrual cycle. Diagnosis based on symptoms and physical examination. To determine the presence of malignancy, biopsy can be done. Treatment depends on the cause. Adenosis vaginalis does not require special treatment, but patients should undergo regular checks to determine disease progression. Uterine polyps, fibroids and cancers can be removed surgically. Hysterectomy (removal of uterus) performed in postmenopausal women who experience bleeding due to thickening of the lining of the uterus and the presence of abnormal cells (which may be precancerous cells).
