Take the wheel and take me far,

Someplace safe and somewhere warm,

Where dreams flourish and get no harm,

Where everything is right and the wrong holds no charm.

Take the wheel and take it fast and take me somewhere new,

Where love does not die and pain does not last,

Where we can go back and change the past,

Where bitterness and lies are banned for all the evil they cast.

Just take the wheel now for i am tired of driving,

Long time it has been that i have been trying,

My eyes now itch from the tears i have been crying,

All smiles are lost and the fire is slowly dying.

Take this wheel and steer me away,

I am tired of waiting; cant stand it another day,

How much more of a price must I pay?

Each day, I struggle and pray, not to go astray.

Because it is hard to survive in a world so fake,

After a point we all break,

the fortress of conscience is surrounded by the evil lake

Where everyone is asleep and i am wide awake.

And at the end of the day,

Under the stars as i lay,

Thinking of all that we keep hidden away,

Praying that i find the right way

I wish to be taken far away,

From all this hurt and dismay.

But then I think; Of hope there is always a ray..

which if only we can see will make it all seem Okay.
