Thought someone might like to take a little trip with me.
Vacation with words
Want to go on a trip with me?
Within the words you will certainly see
The place you always wanted to go
I’ll take you there with syllables below.
Get ready we are going to go to Greece
You’ll see the past with my timepiece.
As we visit the Parthenon, we travel slow
It is up a winding road, upon a hill you know.
The roadway is dotted with many a lovely olive tree
From atop an astounding sight you’ll see.
Enjoy and walk where the Romans once did
Be silent and absorb what reading books hid.
Look down at the white rocks on the ground
Don’t pick them up even though they are all around.
Leave them there for others to see in years to come
This should be everyone’s Greece, “Rule of thumb”.
If everyone takes what they want without a thought
Before you know it, there will be naught.
Leaving Greece, I must say I had a lot of fun.
Your company in one, I can compare to none.
