Poem about Vanity and lust for power.

Youth and beauty for you mortal entity.
Perfection’s your protection
from terrifying rejection.

Flawless when you pretend,
their love for you will never end.
God forgive you, for you are ignorant
but you’re a hypocrite too,
that makes your chances quite scant.

You hunger for power
for you’re that kind of monster.
Shallow child it is no wonder,
soon you’ll be the one that no one would remember.

You’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing,
pitiful really, for in essence you are nothing.

Power, money,
youth and beauty
your gauge of self-worth

Power, money,
youth and beauty
never lasts here on earth

I think that it plays a very truthful tale about our lifes, and I espicially think that the last stanza truely shows just what we are. and what is that? ask yourself.
