A little poem to encourage you to love inspite of Valentine’s day!

Valentine, Oh Valentine

so many are pressured by you

‘to go and buy and whine and cry

and yes sometimes me to

Oh, Valentine, Oh Valentine

why are you torturing us?

we work so hard and yes we love

 my God, isn’t that enough

do we really have to go and get the flowers

and the strawberries that are chocolate covered!

Oh, Valentine, Oh Valentine

we love each other all year

we give our hugs, and kisses and love

yes, we do, yes we do, do you hear?

so Valentine, yes Valentine

we will do what you say to do

but we also know, that this is not all

and that LOVE is ACTION all year!

Cool poem, you are right we put many pressures on ourselves and other over a holiday that shows our love, which should be shown everyday…

I need to show this poem to my husband – he got me that big heart-shaped box of chocolate yesterday. Chocolate covered strawberries would have been better for my figure – or even better, a low calorie hug & kiss.
