The hands of fate.
What could have made me stop that day at that flower shop
Was it fate that my car broke down in that particular spot
But I thought and said perhaps it is not too late
This could be some interesting work of what is known as fate.
So I entered, to get a call so as to get a tow
But inside there was such a heavy human traffic flow
As the guys made orders and arrangement, to have a bouquet
Delivered to that special on when it Valentine’s day,
The roses were beautiful, aromatic and so colorful
Arranged in such style so artistic and so wonderful
But my heart felt like lead, and my spirit so glum
Because there was no valentine,to bestow anything amorous upon.
Then I saw her, smiling so sweetly and looking so beautiful
Those bright roses around her somehow looked quite dull
Something somehow, likes it controlled my feet
Leading me over to her, so that i can greet and meet.
Greeting me by saying “sir do you need a bouquet or two”
Perhaps but I just came all over just to meet you
Seeing you among those roses, you made such a wonderful sight
Near you their brilliance, just faded away into the night.
As conversation developed, there was detection that i looked sad
By why at this time you should be very glad
My reply was that you there should be happiness around this time
For me there is no one to be with this Valentine.
On hearing this her eyes fell to the ground
I wondered if i had said or done something wrong
The she looked up again, saying that she was in the similar plight
So the plan was for dinner on that Valentine’s night.
