Accept the material of life!

Do not criticize your part in the play!

Rather study it, understand it,

And then play it, sick or well,

Rich or poor, with courage with proper grace!

God grant me the serenity to accept

The things I cannot change, the courage

To change the things I can, and the

Wisdom to know the difference!
