A poem for those who have served.

Veteran’s Day

Hark, I hear,

The sound of a trumpet,

Doling out the notes of ‘taps’,

Somber music,

In remembrance of the dead,

Solemn music,

Celebrating the living,

Soldier’s music,

Greeting the night,

With calm assurance,

That this too will pass.
