A poem I wrote about the fires in Victoria, Australia.

————————————————————–

The fires.
Tall and mighty, they never tire,
Burning, burning on.

————————————————————–

They destroy everything in their way,
Leaving nothing but despair and decay,
Burning, burning on.

————————————————————–

People with nowhere to live,
The fire does not want to give,
Burning, burning on.

————————————————————–

The firefighters come rushing in,
But the fire still wants to win,
Burning, burning on.

————————————————————–

Thousands of people have suffered from fate,
As people all over world help and donate,
Burning, burning on.

————————————————————–

We can only hope they will not tire,
As they keep fighting the fire,
That keeps burning, burning on…

Your diction is nice but I think that’s too sweet to describe about burning and fire. Just my opinion, anyway.

It’s lovely but not in a sweet way as Nev was saying. I like it.

A nice piece of work, but has to side with renita on this one.My mind went back to when the World trade Center was in flames and all those people perished.

    Wow, nice job
I live in Melbourne so the subject is pretty depressing for me
