A short story of life from somewhere out there.
Pitter patter of dark matter
throughout the stars it is scattered
Its ever silence can’t be shattered
its emptiness can not be sadder
Its wonders strong and always lending
to mysteries so never ending
quasars, pulsars ships you’re sending
the search for God the light is bending
as Hubble looks at the never ending.
Alone in the darkness of this sea
you believe stands mighty humanity
in the image of creation yourselves you see.
We are all there is
We are all that’s here
no other life is superior.
There’s no one else out there who roams
There’s no ET who can’t phone home
keep thinking that you’re all alone
and with space rocks you might get stoned
Science fiction fantasy
is it only on your DVD
are there signs you didn’t see?
crop circles, Stonehenge look around
can they make a bigger sound
centuries of knowledge laughed about.
you think you’ve got it figured out.
One day though the truth will tell
if visitors will be from heaven or hell
for you sakes I hope they treat you well
cause carbon based units make great fuel cells
