Amusing poem about the vivid and strange dreams of a little girl.

Sweet dreams my dear Samantha.

Rest your weary head.

You’re on a cloud of cotton candy:

Playing with some penguins,

Singing songs with a humming bird,

Laughing at a fuzzy turtle,

Skipping with a mushroom girl,

And dancing with a silly hamster.

Isn’t dreaming fun?

Now the dream turns darker.

There are black knights approaching.

A stormy cloud of goo is overhead.

The voracious cycle flies are swarming,

And the moon monsters are screaming.

Dreams may also be disturbing.

Clashes of good and evil errupt.

Who shall become the victor?

Questions invade the mind.

Where are the answers?

Where are the…

The alarm clock rings.

The little girl wakes up.

The memories of tonight’s dreams

Evaporate into thin air.

And the little girl has a sudden urge for cotton candy.
