I look back at my life
A road of never ending obstacles to overcome
Some have been good and some bad
I see a wall before me
I want to go around it, there is no escape
I deal with it and move on
My life had been a disaster but fun too
I can see you when we were together
Your hands so strong, your eyes so full of energy and life
I want you to once acknowledge me again, you won’t I know
I miss your advice and your voice
You are gone….forever
I survived and now go on to a better place in my life
My heart was broken so I withdrew
It healed so I advanced toward the light
The light of day, the light from the candle forever burning in my soul
You were always a part of my life
You never let my fire burn completely out
When I was about to lose control, you gave me strength and
Courage to go on
You loved me even when you hated me
You told me the truth even when you lied to me
You helped me see past myself
To see a different me, another obstacle to overcome
