About waiting.

Lights out,

their lies,

caused you to go blind,

shut those pretty eyes,

and pretend this never happened,

I’m a vague illusion of your imagination,

satisfaction from pain,

you said there’s a story here.

There’s a message to be heard,

all over the world,

listen with your heart,

and not your ears,

there are no boundaries,

to how we love.

I’m here,

but my heart’s so far away,

I told it to stay,

stay,

and wait,

for you.

It’s so silent,

when you’re not around,

the sun doesn’t shine as bright.

If I look at your face,

and forget how to breathe,

rescue me,

with your kiss of life,

I won’t stray,

forever I’ll be yours.

Their lies,

are bursting at the seams,

can you see again?

When I fall asleep,

I dream of your smile,

your words,

will be the death of me.

In a warm embrace,

that’s killing me,

but I won’t ever leave,

I won’t ever say,

I never loved you anyway.

It wasn’t all in vain,

I’m waiting,

waiting,

maybe for a a thousand eternities,

that’s how you know it’s real.
