She wants to dance the night away. (photo by the author)

Tonight is the night of the Halloween Ball
And she’s going to go if she has to crawl.
She’s standing and waiting by the roadside
Hoping some gentleman will give her a ride.
She knows this evening will be a real bash
With everyone doing the old Monster Mash.
She’s heard of this dance but never has gone
But she’s going tonight with dancing shoes on.
Perhaps if she’s lucky she’ll find her a guy
Who thinks that she’s pretty and give her the eye.
Someone who thinks small is right up his alley
Since she can’t afford a ’silicone valley.’
It’s not her fault that she’ll never be
A woman who shops for a 38C
But she has a heart that’s as big as outside.
Won’t someone please stop and give her a ride?

Ok I was smirking for a moment there…well done again Ken. You have a unique ability when it comes to poetry. A sort of dry sense of humour.

  • nadinesimone on Oct 18, 2009

Why is it everybody is so obsessed by size. A guy in the army once told me ‘Lady it’s not the size of the barrel, it’s the power of the shot’. On behalf of women not up to a 38C, I would say ladies, more than a handfull is a waste!

Thank you Ken this was funny, well executed, and once again it was a crowd puller!
